ABBAYE DE REIGNY
A historic monument listed in 1920, the Abbaye de Reigny is located in a leafy setting in the Cure Valley between Chablis and Vézelay, Guédelon and the Abbaye de Fontenay. Constructed in the 12th Century by Cistercian monks as a base for their order, it is nowadays devoted to welcoming groups, seating 430 people in the monk’s refectory and 250 in the cellar. The 14 hectare park is walled and flanks the River Cure, allowing guests to arrange outdoor events. This unique Burgundy venue also provides accommodation, with 56 rooms that can sleep up to 130 people. Pontigny Abbey is 40km away and the abbey of Fontenay, UNESCO World Heritage, is 60km away. And should you wish to travel back in time to the origins of our civilisation, you can visit the exceptional caves of Arcy sur Cure, an important site of prehistory. Numerous Burgundian parks and gardens are open to visitors.
