CHATEAU DE CHAMIREY

Nestling in the Côte Chalonnaise, a secret and well-preserved part of Burgundy, the village of Mercure is home to its beating heart, with incredible treasures like the hamlet of Chamirey, its Château and historic winery sitting atop a rocky peak that overlooks the Vaux Valley. A site charged with history, built in the XVII Century, this magnificent winery is authentic and welcoming and it is unique along the Côte Chalonnaise. The Devillard family, its owners for five generations, are madly in love with its vineyards and keep alive the great history of the Château de Chamirey.

Leisure on site

Within our estate, multiple services are available in order to host your clients in the best possible conditions: tastings with commentary of the wines of the Domaines Devillard (Mâcon, Mercurey, Givry, Nuits-Saint-Georges); wine cellar visits; trips into the vineyards; cycling trail around our plots. At our Table d'hôtes we serve a typically Burgundian menu with a selection of matured cheeses from the region. After lunch, we can round off your experience of Burgundian art de vivre with a reading from the family’s private collection, a repertory of works based on vineyards, wines, Burgundy and its history. Upstairs, the library is a space dedicated to wine growing, and the 240 degree view across the vineyards of Mercurey from here is unbeatable.

Leisure nearby

Visits to the châteaux (Germolles), the abbaye de Cluny, golf course, bike and helicopter rides.
